Contact Links	POL News NOVEMBER 2002 THERE is a music venue right next to Portsmouth Guildhall which is putting on some interesting acts this month. Upstairs in the City Bar, which is also handy for the railway station the live music includes Bob Cheevers on Wednesday November 6, Nick Harper on Tuesday the 12th and Mike Beck on Wednesday the 27th. Bob is a singer songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, Mike Beck a genuine singing cowboy from Montana, and Nick.......well you should know who Nick is by now. There is a realistic admission fee on the door. ****************************** COLIN BLUNSTONE, Rod Argent and their band have just completed a highly successful short American tour, despite visa problems forcing drummer Steve Rodford to miss the first gig and a mechanical breakdown en route. We hope to interview Colin (the UK’s most underrated singer?) about his experiences and his next album and tour very shortly - watch this space!!! ****************************** NICK HARPER also turns up at Southampton’s revitalised Talking Heads music venue on Wednesday November 13, the day after his Portsmouth gig. Also appearing during November are Bob Cheevers with some rootsy Delta blues from the USA, folky outfit Flook, reggae ravers Doris & The Dots and the unique Celtic soul singer/songwriter Jackie Leven - definitely a don’t-misser on Wednesday November 27. ******************************	NOVEMBER Featured artists: The Hamsters @ The Brook Southampton Thursday 28th.
