PLAYING OUT LOUD! An online monthly guide to live music in the South. The principal aim is to tell you what's on and where, whether it's jazz, rock, pop, blues, country, folk, reggae or classical. One thing you won't find here is disco, karaoke or clubbing, but we are quite happy to accept advertisements from venues operating in this area. Real music is what we are celebrating in PLAYING OUT LOUD! and we hope to extend the website beyond just listings to make it a forum for local musicians and music lovers, with free ads, letters columns, gig reviews, competitions, star interviews, quizzes, plus links to other websites. Input from music lovers out there is welcome, whether it is to keep us up to date with gossip on the music scene, gig information, requests, suggestions, photographs or whatever. PLAYING OUT LOUD! is not aimed at any particular age group - anyone with a pulse will hopefully be interested whether they are 5 or 105. Gigs will be updated each month - please send in details of any venues not currently listed in the Hampshire/Dorset/Wiltshire area.  As a professional in media communications for over 20 years, I have had a massive exposure and experience of just about every media form. From band and artists promotions, management and music reviews through to celebrity interviewer, book writer, professional speaker and speech writer.
